Channel 10 requested Engtec assist them with the design for upgrade of the air handling plants serving Studio 1 and their critical equipment server room as well as the BMS for their headquarters building in Pyrmont. The works needed to be undertaken in a manner to ensure there was no interruption to their daily broadcasting and 24 hour operation of critical infrastructure. The upgrade of the mechanical plant had to meet thermal comfort and critical temperature requirements as well as stringent acoustic requirements to ensure the sensitive studio microphones were not able to capture any mechanical plant interference.
