Engtec have been involved in numerous projects with The Scots College to improve the amenity and use of the school with some of its ageing assets. One of the most challenging projects was the up the remodeling and upgrade of the heritage listed auditorium, now formally known as the Harry Triguboff auditorium.
The auditorium was originally constructed in the early 1900s and was considerably damaged following a fire in the 1970s. In 2020 the school decided to upgrade and modernize the building and increase its seated capacity by approximately 50%. Given it’s a heritage listed building this introduced significant challenges with the air conditioning and ventilation systems and smoke control systems. Over many months of design and coordination with JCA Architects, Engtec were able to successfully deliver a fully functional and fit system for the school’s landmark project.
